It has been an exciting month here at Evolve Creative. We’re celebrating our 20th anniversary, and had a big celebration earlier this month to kick off our big year. 

Evolve Creative was started August 1, 2004. In those days, the internet was still a relatively new tool that people were still learning to use and realize the full potential of.

To give some perspective, TheFacebook was only 6 months old, and was still just a private college directory for Harvard students. Many people still used AOL to access the web with dial-up connections, and the iPhone was still three ways away from conception. People were using Windows XP, and Internet Explorer had over 90% of the market share for desktop browsers. 

 

 

 

Google.com was becoming the dominant search engine, but was still chosen less than half the time by searchers (as compared to over 90% today) and was just rolling out a feature called “Frogger” which acted as an online shopping tool and a potential competitor to online retailers like Amazon and eBay. 

In those early days of the internet, Sarah Hokuf founded Evolve Creative, reaching out to customers and designing websites for businesses. 

In the last 20 years, Evolve Creative has grown and changed almost as much as the internet has, and we’re very proud of the growth and success that we’ve had.

We have become a design and marketing powerhouse not just for Northern Minnesota, but also building websites for companies across the country. We’ve specialized in several niches, including Aviation, Recreation, and Resorts, bringing our talent and expertise to our clients and elevating their design and web presence. We live and stand by our motto: Your Vision Brought to Life. We’ve become more than just a web design agency—becoming a Branding Agency partnering with our clients to take their vision and ideas to the next level. Customers often come to us with just a business idea, which we then create a brand out of. We create logos, choose logos and fonts, design websites and marketing materials, and also provide top-tier digital marketing campaigns for them to help them grow and thrive. 

We couldn’t be prouder of where we are today, and are excited for what’s to come. Last year, Sarah Hokuf helped lead a transition to the next chapter of Evolve, helping bring in a new Managing Director, Glenn Martin. With her guidance and Glenn’s leadership, we’re boldly moving forward into the next decade of Evolve with new ideas, fresh energy and excitement for what’s to come. 

We continue to offer world-class branding, creative design, and expert development to our clients in Minnesota and beyond. We’re very thankful to all our clients over the years, and are excited about the years to come.
